Catherine van Giap is a mosaic artist and has recently relocated to Ross on Wye from the Isle of wight. She has been running her business Freshwater Mosaics and has been a professional mosaic artist for over 18 years.

She combines stained glass with vintage china within her decorative bespoke wall hangings on subjects which inspire her often being led by the particular piece of china she is using.

Her other mosaic work is more fine art based where she uses her recent paintings and translates them back into stained glass mosaic wall hangings on still life themes such a fruit and glass compositions.

She has taught mosaics for 12 years and offers both one day and weekly classes from her studio, gallery, workshop in central Ross-on-Wye which is open by appointment.
