Leatherworker and saddler
She’s been involved with showing and training dogs and horses for most of her life, so has combined this knowledge with traditional saddler’s techniques. Her range has evolved over the years to include many practical yet smart, distinctive leather-goods. These include versatile belts and accessories, traditional cattle and sheep show halters, bespoke bridles and unique commissions
Emma sells her work nationally and internationally through shows and exhibitions, and online through her website. Commissioned work for her clients has included show halters for the successful Weston’s Cider Hereford Cattle and for A-list films including Robin Hood (2010), Fantastic Beasts (2015) and most recently two more films released later in late 2018 and early 2019 (‘Holmes & Watson’ and ‘Colette’). She also enjoys collaboration with fellow craftsmen such as basket-makers, designers and jewellers, on joint projects.
Emma works from her home-based workshop set in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside. She has been an exhibiting member of the Herefordshire Guild of Craftsmen since the early 1990’s. Much of this time has also been spent serving on the committee and involved in organising and administration of Guild events .
