Anna is a contemporary oil painter living and working by the Malvern hills in Herefordshire.

She was brought up in the Western Isles and Scottish Highlands, studied law, and then had a career in finance in Glasgow then London.  She took the plunge to fulfil a lifelong ambition in 2014, by signing up to an Access to Art & Design diploma at Malvern School of Art, and since then has been painting full time, exhibiting in Worcestershire. Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and Wales, and selling her work through open studios, shows, exhibitions, most of the Guild events and online through her website.

Inspired by the romantics such as JMW Turner and Fred Cuming, Anna paints freely and expressively in oils, seeking to capture energy and light in her landscapes and seascapes.   She is a self-confessed colour fiend and paints predominantly with palette knives in an impasto style.

Anna works from her studio at home in Colwall and welcomes visitors at Open Studios or otherwise by appointment.
