Cheryl is a Feltmaker and loves working with natural materials and the wonderful colours of wool and silk. She hand dyes the wool and silk in her studio to obtain subtle variations of shade and tone, and their careful placement gives atmosphere and depth to her designs.

The natural world is a great source of inspiration for Cheryl, but also as a member of the International Feltmakers Associationshe is privileged to gain inspiration and encouragement from fellow feltmakers around the world.

Feltmaking was a well-established and skilled craft in 3,000 B.C. and she enjoys reworking the traditional techniques into modern textile design.
